Life is definitely interesting. Just finished a conversation about the difference between a surface person and a successful person.
You may not actually think there is a comparison. Then again, you may think they are the same.
But actually, generally people are surface people. They listen, watch, learn something just enough. Now, I'm going to leave the definition of "just enough" up to you.
But they never "do" anything with it.

BNI, the Chamber of Commerce, and all the others, allow each of their members give a 10-minute presentation.
In fact, I was talking with a client of mine.

I was helping a friend out man their service counter last week. Just a few hours here and there while they took training.

Hey, do you ever feel intimidated by someone? We all do when we're babes in the woods and learning something.
Yet, I've found the older we get the less we appreciate what we already know. And it's so easy to do too.
Everywhere we look; something new is coming out that's marketed as something better than before. Giving us the assumption that it has to be better than it was before.
That's the marketing ploy.

Fifth: Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Third: Establish the specific date you intend to possess the money you desire.
Again, the key here is to be specific. "Next year" is not going to cut it.
1. Example: "I will have earned that much from my clients by December 15, 2008."
Fourth: Create a plan of action.

One of my favorite books is by Napoleon Hill. It's the famed Think and Grow Rich, detailing a money-making secret which has made fortunes for hundreds of wealthy men, including Henry Ford, Charles M. Schwab, Theodore Roosevelt, John D. Rockefeller, and Thomas Edison – just a few.
In it, Hill gives details of a six-step process for turning your desire for riches into its financial equivalent. To illustrate, I'll stroll you through his process.
